Be Aware of Suspicious Activity

Please be aware that in the Villages there was a recent incident of a person walking in the community who attempted to take something from a front yard of a home.  The sheriff was notified and responded to the incident but the individual was not located.  While we assume this was an isolated incident, please be sure to keep an eye on your belongings, especially so if you have deliveries left at your front door.

Pets in Community

Many Villages residents enjoy walking in the community with their pets. Recently, it has been noted that some residents are walking their dogs without a leash. This is a reminder that dogs MUST be on a leash at all times for the safety of all residents and pets. In addition, make certain that you pick up and properly dispose of all your pet’s waste.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Observe Speed Limits

Please remember that we have a number of school children entering/exiting school buses at this time of the year.  All traffic regulations including the speed limit must be observed when driving through the community.  Always stop when a school bus has their “Stop” sign extended during loading and unloading.  We have had reports of residents exceeding the speed limit.  If your home is rented, please notify your tenants of the VLP rules including the speeding prohibition.  Owners are subject to fines.
